To love, someone must die…

"This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.  Greater love has no one than this, than someone lay down his life for his friends." John 15:12-13  (ESV) There is a high price for love.  You can have it for free but it will cost everything.  You cannot love without paying the full price. God will allow us to choose to live our lives on a lower level that He has [...]

My heart is weighing heavy on me this morning as I pray for some friend.  My meditation today was on two passages of scripture. "...whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing."  John 15:5 (ESV) "Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.  Love never fails..."  1 Corinthians 13:7-8 (ESV) I am concerned about the [...]

Close Encounters of the God Kind…

I had an awesome encounter yesterday.  I just stopped in to Port City Java to get a cup and check my e-mail.  A guy came over and sat down at my table.  He asked me if I would write an entry in his journal.  I thought this was a little weird and for some reason it was a little uncomfortable.  He said he had noticed a book on my table and he asked me what [...]
